Summative Evaluation

Summative evaluation occurs at the end of a semester, usually between week or two before the class ends. As its name, a summative evaluation will gather a summary of information regarding teaching process throughout the whole semester.

The evaluation is done by students of the class. Students have the option to reflect on an overall of instructors’ teaching without fear because course evaluations are completely confidential and commonly anonymous. This can be done either with a paper format or with online technology.
